Exam Details
- Question Types: Multiple choice

- Hands-On Questions: The APSM® Supply Management Core Exam does not include hands-on lab questions. It is a computer-based exam focused on supply management knowledge, procurement scenarios, and professional decision-making.
Exam Policies
- Offline Proctoring: The exam can be taken in person at authorized Pearson VUE testing centers. Rescheduling or cancellation must be completed at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment to avoid forfeiting exam fees.
- Online Proctoring: The exam can be taken online through Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring, where available. Candidates must meet system, webcam, identification, and testing-environment requirements.
- Waiting Period: ISM has a 30-day retake policy for the APSM® exam. If a candidate fails, they must wait 30 days before retaking the same exam.
- Retake Fee: Full exam fee must be paid for each retake.
Certification Validity and Renewal
- Validity: 5 years
- Renewal Options: The APSM® certification is valid for 5 years and is not eligible for recertification. During the 5-year period, candidates may convert APSM® toward CPSM® by passing the remaining required CPSM® exams and meeting CPSM® eligibility requirements.
